Initially designed for trout it has also become the lure of choice for bream fishing.
Strength, action, depth and buoyancy, combined with excellent casting distances make this little lure a must have for all anglers wether fishing for pleasure or in competitions.
The Lil Ripper can dive to 1.5mts when flat line trolled, it can be used on a down rigger to depths of 20mts without loss of action, and lead lining is another option.
The Little Ripper is capable of swimming in the fasted flowing waters of a mountain stream or the still Bream holding waters of our estuarine systems. This strong little Oar-Gee Lure has already proved to be successful in Africa and could be used in our estuaries for catching Stump, Grunter and Kob.
With the increasing number of anglers using kayaks, the Lil Ripper has become a favourite for trolling and casting, targeting species such as Bass, Bream, Catfish and Trout.
Casting distances of 20 meters are easily achieved on most light line rod and reel combinations.
Lead lining or down rigging is another very effective method for dam Trout and Bass.
Capable of handling a wide range of trolling speeds the Lil Ripper can be trolled alongside other combinations of lures which may be traditionally used for trout.
The Lil Ripper comes standard with VMC 9632BZ size 8 trebles and 1H stainless steel split rings, as with all Oar-Gee Lures, best results are achieved when using a loop knot, although a small clip without the swivel will achieve the same results.
